Tyler is the President of Operations and a Co-Founder of Movement For Choice.
Tyler is a born-and-raised Coloradan who fell in love with DC after she moved to the city in 2019. She is a 200E-RYT yoga instructor and has been teaching yoga and fitness since 2016. She brings her expertise for organizational operations, her talent for building community, and her passion for joyful movement to M4C. When Tyler isn’t working, you can find her reading, climbing, biking, laying in the sun, and/or talking about astrology. Tyler lives with her cat in NW DC.
Marian is M4C’s Healing Arts Coordinator.
Marian was first introduced to the DMV yoga and meditation community in high school. She found her passion for reproductive justice while pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Women's Studies at the University of Maryland, College Park. During her undergraduate studies, Marian focused on issues related to health care access, examining the systemic barriers to reproductive care for people with disabilities and people who are incarcerated.
Marian has since worked with a DC-based criminal justice consulting firm. She believes in the power of story and movement to connect, heal, and transform our lives.
Marian is also a certified yoga teacher trained in trauma-informed practices and loves exploring local coffee shops and hiking trails!
Nadia is M4C’s Director of Engagement.
Nadia grew up in West Texas in an area that treated reproductive health as a dirty secret. Since leaving Texas, Nadia has jumped into this space in any way she can. From creating a menstrual hygiene management curriculum to culminate her graduate studies to assisting with grants and education materials as a consultant, Nadia seeks to spread reproductive health education in her communities.
Jeremy lives on the South Coast of Massachusetts, and has worked in the environmental water sector since 2019. This follows most of the 2010's as a college tennis coach outside Boston (where he started to use his voice as a women's bodily autonomy advocate), and the first part of his "adult life" in Stowe, Vermont. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Richmond in 2004, and his M.Ed from the University of Vermont in 2010. In his free time Jeremy stays active on the ski slopes, the tennis and platform tennis courts (though won't publicly admit to pickleball, yet), and making sure his dog Teela gets plenty of exercise. According to his nephews, he's also been nominated for 'Best Uncle in New England.’
Paula Pavlova is writer and artist who advocates for early education on pelvic health and sexual wellness across genders. As an undergrad, Paula double majored in Sociology + Fine Art after which she went on to teach yoga and meditation for over a decade. During that time she founded an astrology based self-care subscription box company, led retreats, and presented at yoga + music festivals around the world. In 2020, after many years of escalating health issues, she made the challenging decision to shut down her business to focus on her own healing. Paula lives with endometriosis, a chronic and extremely painful disease that affects your reproductive organs. After countless bad doctors and multiple surgeries, Paula now has a healthy son and a fully functioning IUD that prevents her from living in daily pain.
Through her work, Paula aims to highlight the simple notion that no two bodies are the same, everyone’s story is unique, and access to unabridged healthcare should be considered the baseline of freedom, not a privilege. She believes that listening to people’s lived experiences with compassion and without comparison is a transformative practice that has the profound power to change the world. Her goal is to remind people to listen to their OWN bodies because it is the only thing we inherently own.
Paula currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her loving husband, son, and two furry babies — all of whom identify as womanists, feminists, and fervent supporters of reproductive rights.
